Requirements
- Knowledge of Rollstamp’s Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures
- Understanding of ISO45001 Occupational H&S Management System (OHSMS) and ISO14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements
- Ability to conduct safety talks or training with workers
- Experience in incident investigation and workplace inspections/safety checks
- Knowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE) and protective devices
Responsibilities
- Ensure procedures are being developed, communicated and adhered by workers within their area of responsibility
- Ensure workers follow the law and Rollstamp’s Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures and ISO45001 Occupational H&S Management System (OHSMS) and ISO14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements
- Inform workers about the actual and potential hazards about the job and within their area, and respond to their safety concerns
- Make sure workers wear and use the right personal protective equipment (PPE) and protective devices and know how to work safely
- Involved in incident investigation and workplace inspections/safety checks
- Conduct safety talks or training with the workers, and correct unsafe acts or conditions
- Conduct performance appraisals for workers’ safety performance
- Support/participate in the JHSC
- Inform any modifications, additions, or removal in their processes as it relates to HSE
- Responsible to review the environmental aspects/impacts and risk assessments related to their processes, and adhere to the operational controls for protection of the workers and environment
- Authorize to approve use of new chemical or raw materials
- Authorize to approve any purchases related to HSE in their Department
