Requirements
- Manage, develop, implement, and enforce Aqua’s safety program
- Interpret technical and regulatory information to provide guidance to operations staff
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) to explain Aqua policies and procedures and safety/risk management concepts and practices
- Prepare and manage operational and capital safety budgets
- Establish and maintain safety training programs and records of completion
- Manage safety equipment needs for required inspection or replacement frequencies
- Implement and manage Right to Know requirements for Hazardous materials
- Investigate and evaluate new safety equipment for appropriateness
- Administer procurement and distribution of safety PPE and tools
- Manage safety vendors and or consultants
Responsibilities
- Interface with field staff and management to determine safety support needs, and deliver on the same
- Work with local and corporate stakeholders to develop, implement, and update effective Standard operating procedures and policies
- Investigate injuries and incidents and interface using Aqua practices and procedures
- Be an active member on the PA safety committee
- Conduct safety audits and field inspections and document findings and assign follow-up actions
- Initiate changes to safety program for continuous improvement
- Respond and support safety for emergency situations
- Participate in the review of engineering designs and construction projects with a focus on general workplace safety, ergonomics, hazard identification (labeling), parking/maneuverability
- Perform other duties as assigned
