Requirements
- 1200 hours total time
- 500 hours PIC in category
- 500 hours turbine time
- 100 hours of cross-country flight time, at least 25 hours of which were at night
- 50 hours actual or simulated instrument time in flight and in category
- Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating or ATP: Rotorcraft, Helicopter
- Current Class I or II medical certificate
Responsibilities
- Operates assigned aircraft in a safe and legal manner at all times (100%)
- Perform Aircraft preservation ground runs
- Perform Aircraft post maintenance ground runs
- Completes pre-flight before every flight verifying the aircraft is in an airworthy condition
- Perform a complete walk around of the aircraft prior to entering the cockpit for flight and upon completion of each flight
- Perform Aircraft post maintenance operational flights for RTS (Return To Service) per OEM and regulatory requirements
- Ferry aircraft as directed
- Complies with PIC duties and responsibilities in the Air Methods GOM
- Responsible for ensuring all aircraft systems and installed equipment are airworthy and operationally functional when released for revenue service
- Final authority with regard to operations of aircraft and for the safety of crew, passengers, cargo and equipment
- Responsible for completion of required documentation
- Able to conduct detailed flight planning with little notice to exacting standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
- 2-5 years of related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred)
- Previous experience in dedicated maintenance support, or as production or post-maintenance test pilot preferred
- Previous Part 135 experience preferred
