Requirements
- Certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
- 3-5 years of operational HIM experience
- Expertise in Health Information functions and operations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills and people skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop HIM best practice operational workflow, effectively using currently available technologies.
- Coordinate with HIM IT Business Analyst in the roll out of current and new technologies.
- Scanning/indexing technology currently used throughout the enterprise.
- Facilitate Management reports.
- Coordinate the revision and maintenance of job descriptions for HIM clerical staff that includes the use of new technology.
- Serves as a resource, as requested, to other Departments throughout the enterprise on HIM related topics, providing expertise and guidance in operational matters and procedures.
