Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a 3rd or 4th-year student in a Human Resources, Business, or Organizational Development program.
- Located within 20 miles of the office, with reliable transportation to work in-office three (3) days weekly.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and online research.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent critical thinking, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Responsibilities
- Participate in Benefits Open Enrollment: Assist with preparing and organizing open enrollment materials, answering employee questions, and ensuring a smooth process for all participants.
- Gain Exposure to HR Generalist Areas: Contribute to HR activities related to benefits, HRIS, compliance, and employee relations.
- Assist with HRIS and Compliance: Help update and maintain employee records, ensure compliance with relevant HR laws and regulations, and support HR audit preparation.
- Attend HR Team and Departmental Meetings: Gain insight into various HR functions through participation in staff and team meetings.
- Collaborate with HR Team Members: Work closely with HR professionals to assist with day-to-day HR operations and gain experience in handling confidential information appropriately.
- Support Employee Relations: Assist in addressing employee inquiries, documenting employee concerns, and supporting HR efforts in fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Contribute to Employee Communications: Help prepare and distribute internal communications related to HR initiatives, including benefits, policies, and training programs.
Preferred Qualifications

- Adaptability to new challenges and changing priorities.
- Familiarity with HRIS, benefits administration, or HR compliance is a plus.
- Experience with Employee Relations or Total Rewards is an asset.
