Requirements
- US Citizen
- BS Degree in an Occupational Safety and Health or related field
- At least 0 to 3 years of position related experience
- Good written and verbal communications skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Chemical Inventory and SDS Manager (CISM) at the NETL – Albany site
- Maintain the NETL-Albany sites’ chemical inventory and safety data sheets
- Provide support for chemical inventory questions/concerns and assist with approval/receipt of chemical purchases per NETL directives
- Modify/update the NETL-Albany site’s chemical inventory and SDSs as needed
- Input all cylinder information into the chemical inventory system (EMS)
- Inspect/scan (annually) the laboratory areas and facilities to verify that the chemical inventory is accurate
- Provide Oregon State Fire Marshal reporting support for the NETL- Albany site and other ad hoc reports as necessary
- Provide CISM support, including approving chemical purchases and acting as CISM point-of-contact at NETL-Albany
- Provide support for the organic peroxide shelf-life tracking program
- Assist with conducting an annual cylinder inventory
- Assist with required routine inspections at the NETL-Albany site
- Support R&D, Support Operations, and Facility SARS inspections
- Support NETL’s hazardous and non-hazardous waste program
