Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 years of HR Generalist experience in an exempt role.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain Printpack Culture including Trust, Collaboration, and Teamwork
  • Support, build, and maintain associate engagement at all levels.
  • Implement and maintain the Human Resource Development process which includes Job descriptions and analysis, performance evaluations, individual development plans, training, and career development.
  • Coordinate recruiting process for the Rhinelander plant with Talent Acquisition, including participation in interview panels and assisting with hiring recommendations on candidates, and pre-screening.
  • Lead the new hire onboarding process in Workday; Lead new hire orientation and onboarding process (manage background checks, medical assessments, etc.)
  • Benefits administration including Open Enrollment, and year-round management of qualifying events.
  • Serve as support in employee relations issues, including discipline process, investigations, and coaching.
  • Support compliance to all company policies/procedures, and to all applicable local, state and federal laws as they relate to Human Resources, including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Affirmative Action, Americans with Disabilities Act, FMLA, and Workers’ Compensation.
  • Participate in various HR-related projects as necessary, including rolling out plant and company-wide initiatives, and coordinating local training classes on HR topics and processes.
  • Help support location activities
  • Act as an HR Business Partner to all Supervisors, Leads, and Managers.
  • Possess a detailed knowledge of human resources best practices.
  • Champion a positive culture among internal and external customers.
  • Maintain and monitor plant timekeeping records and reviewed payroll ensuring Viser report accuracy.
  • Administer in-process I-9 verification Homelander Security process.
  • Partner with corporate leave team on administration and maintenance of employee requests for leaves of absence.
  • Assist with Social Responsibility programs for the location and serve as a primary contact for community resources.
  • Manage the offboarding process and conduct exit interviews.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Workday and Viser is desired, not required.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience conducting associate relations discussions, conflict management, investigations, and coaching at all levels
  • Knowledge of HR-related regulations and laws, including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, COBRA, EEOC, HIPAA, and other federal and state laws
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to analyze challenges and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and critical-thinking skills
  • Data analysis and presentation skills to identify trends and proactively address opportunities.
