Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or other related area
  • 6 years of progressive human resources generalist experience across multiple areas which may include a combination of HR generalist and specialist experience such as employee relations, compensation administration, training and development, and talent acquisition.
  • Previous manufacturing/plant experience
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Extensive experience with and knowledge of labor and employment laws and what is permissible and not permissible within labor relations.

Responsibilities

  • Actively engage with the site leadership team to learn about key talent issues/challenges, working with site leaders on the plan of action to resolve and/or prioritize
  • Participate in the sites’ leadership discussions to proactively bring forward HR solutions to help drive the sites and talent agenda forward
  • Plan, develop, and oversee the implementation of the HR vision and strategies
  • Be at the forefront of embodying, communicating, and nurturing our desired organizational culture, vision, and values
  • Foster a culture that promotes employee engagement, teamwork, customer service, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Identify and champion recommendations for our retention strategy, ensuring our workforce remains engaged and motivated
  • Lead and manage HR projects designed to add value to the operations leveraging continuous improvement methodologies, including TPM
  • Recommend policy and practice changes in support of continuous improvement methodologies
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Provide expert employee relations advice and coaching to employees and management, fostering a culture of trust and collaboration
  • Monitor and cultivate bench strength, identify high potential talent, oversee career pathing, and manage development initiatives
  • Assess current and future talent needs and work with the Talent Acquisition team on proactively developing strategies and plans to ensure a robust talent pipeline
  • Play a critical role in selecting and hiring for operations key positions, actively promoting Ecolab as an employer of choice
  • Manage and develop an HR team that provides oversight for the East region manufacturing and warehouse sites

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional in Human Resource (PHR) or (SPHR) preferred
  • Advanced degree
  • Professional training or significant experience in union environment or collective bargaining preferred
  • Experience managing grievance processes, union campaigns, and negotiations.
