Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree is required
- 5+ years of HR experience
- Strong employee relations experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced high-growth working environment
- Solid working knowledge of Federal and local laws for the US as they pertain to human resources administration, employee relations and investigation compliance
- Demonstrated ability to work with and influence an hourly manufacturing population while providing strong partnerships with management
Responsibilities
- Guide the development and execution of workforce strategies in collaboration with the human resources team and operations’ leadership
- Develop a deep understanding of the business by participating in client activities to build knowledge of the operational objectives as well as our culture
- Look for new opportunities and solutions to deliver HR support in line with business goals
- Support workforce planning while monitoring trends such as turnover and time to fill to support clients with staffing challenges
- Leverage data to identify opportunities for improvement in a number of key workforce areas
- Manage local employee relations including conflict resolution, providing counselling to managers and employees and conducting interviews
- Work with managers to coach, train and guide them in regards to employee relations, policy and procedure interpretation, turnover, employee satisfaction, performance management, conflict resolution, and legal issues
- Work in a shared service environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in water, manufacturing, oil and gas, energy or chemicals industries is preferable
- Ability to travel up to 20%
