Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree is required
  • 5+ years of HR experience
  • Strong employee relations experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced high-growth working environment
  • Solid working knowledge of Federal and local laws for the US as they pertain to human resources administration, employee relations and investigation compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and influence an hourly manufacturing population while providing strong partnerships with management

Responsibilities

  • Guide the development and execution of workforce strategies in collaboration with the human resources team and operations’ leadership
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business by participating in client activities to build knowledge of the operational objectives as well as our culture
  • Look for new opportunities and solutions to deliver HR support in line with business goals
  • Support workforce planning while monitoring trends such as turnover and time to fill to support clients with staffing challenges
  • Leverage data to identify opportunities for improvement in a number of key workforce areas
  • Manage local employee relations including conflict resolution, providing counselling to managers and employees and conducting interviews
  • Work with managers to coach, train and guide them in regards to employee relations, policy and procedure interpretation, turnover, employee satisfaction, performance management, conflict resolution, and legal issues
  • Work in a shared service environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in water, manufacturing, oil and gas, energy or chemicals industries is preferable
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
