IER Policy Manager

Bachelor’s degree in public administration, policy management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in policy management, governance, or compliance within higher education or a related field.
Strong knowledge of institutional policy frameworks and regulatory compliance requirements.
Proficiency in policy management systems (e.g., DocTract, ServiceNow).
Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.

Manage the full policy lifecycle, including drafting, submission, review, updates, approvals, and retirement.
Facilitate the development of new policies and the review of existing policies to ensure alignment with institutional goals and regulatory requirements.
Lead continuous policy reviews as outlined in the Policy on Policies, notifying departments of required updates and maintaining an accurate schedule to ensure policies are current.
Work closely with policy owners and relevant stakeholders to review, update, and approve policies in a timely manner.
Ensure all policies comply with institutional requirements.
Coordinate with relevant departments when additional reviews are required.
Collaborate with colleagues to train and support departmental users on policy tools, workflows, and best practices for policy management.
Maintain secure storage for private policies and ensure public policies are accessible and accurately represented in the UPD.
Manage user access and ensure policies are available to authorized personnel.
Maintain up-to-date policy tracking data regarding review cycles, expirations, retirements, and related actions, ensuring compliance with the Policy on Policies.
Track and report on key performance indicators, such as review timelines, approval rates, and training outcomes.
Provide regular reports on policy statuses, review cycles, and compliance to senior leadership.

Experience with higher education policy frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to manage cross-departmental teams and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
