Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and escort them through procedures
- Explain proper preparation to patients prior to procedures
- Verify patient demographics in accordance with HIPAA/PHI policy
- Ensure patient history is completed accurately
- Operate and understand all computer systems, including PACS, RIS, MDM and SPARK
- Provide protection in accordance with MRI equipment safety standards
- Complete Radiology Regional IV training program and obtain required IV certification
- Prepare IV solution sets and contrast agents for administration
- Assist technologists, radiologists, and physicians during administration
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
- Assist with laundry of patient gowns, sheets, and other linens
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical training program that included medical and anatomy terminology
- Medical assistant certificate
- Medical knowledge/experience
