Requirements
- Proactive self-starter who thrives in ambiguous, scrappy environments and is eager to learn, adapt, and scale within a fast-paced evolving startup atmosphere.
- Comfortable getting technical with customers on accounting/finance concepts, independently developing implementation plans and experimenting with the best setup for our early-stage product.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to effectively manage and balance customer expectations, and provide clear guidance on customers requirements for implementation.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, excels at managing multiple implementations, and prioritizes effectively to deliver results.
- Strong project management skills. You have successfully managed various complex implementations to completion independently.
- 4-6+ years of experiences in implementation or customer onboarding at early-stage startups, with a strong ability to work with imperfect solutions and collaborate closely with customers to build together.
- Solid understanding of technical concepts, enabling you to assess the customer’s technical stack and Tabs’s product to create solutions that support advanced customer workflows. Equally comfortable in Accounting and Technical environments, engaging with CFOs, controllers, technical teams, and system administrators.
Responsibilities
- Lead implementation from start to completion: You will learn the customer’s tech stack and map their current business processes to the Tabs product offering. You will guide the customer to adopt Tabs and install various integrations with ERPs, CRMs, Tax, Payments, etc. You will support as they test, pilot and go live on Tabs for critical finance and billing processes.
- Partner with the software team on implementations: You’ll gain insights on customer requests or learn that there’s additional complexities to tackle as part of implementation. You will partner with the implementation team and software team to find solutions for the customers.
- Project management: You will work closely with customers to drive requirements and ensure customers meet their implementation milestones. For more complex implementation, you’ll be expected to play the project manager role and provide an implementation roadmap to guide customers through multiple months implementation.
- Stakeholder management: You will build productive customer relationships to ensure that all stakeholders are engaged with and informed of implementation progress, blockers, and action items.
- Cross-functional collaboration: You’ll partner with Sales to fully understand the customer’s goals and account details before transitioning them to the Implementation phase. Ahead of transitioning to Customer Success and Support, you’ll document technical considerations and provide handoff guidance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP integrations like NetSuite or Sage at a fintech company, consulting company or in house at a tech company.
- Experience with Finance and Accounting software, preferably with a Big-4 background or a CPA certification (Certified Public Accountant).
