Requirements
- Firm understanding of engineering and high-availability design
- Firm understanding of various software development lifecycles – e.g., experience with SCRUM, agile, and waterfall
- Experience with setting up Distributed Architecture Governance
- Experience with Work Management (e.g., Atlassian Suite inc. Jira, Confluence, etc.)
- Experience with Version Control software (e.g., GitHub, Bitbucket)
- Experience with CI / CD Tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible)
- Experience with Testing Automation (e.g., Cypress, TestRail)
- Experience with API management and integration software and services (e.g., SAP Process Integration, SAP Integration Suite, Apigee X, SnapLogic)
- Experience with leveraging DevOps principles and methodologies in an Enterprise Technology Environment, including applications such as SAP and Workday
- Fluency in Software Development Language(s) and Tools (e.g., SAP ABAP, Java, JavaScript, Groovy, REST, JSON)
- Ability to research and learn modern technologies and business processes independently and apply them as needed
- Highly data driven and had experience influencing & onboarding teams to measure their delivery velocity & quality using DORA metrics.
- Proven capability to communicate with all levels – from front-line engineers to senior leaders
- Expertise in building trusting relationships with key stakeholders to influence business and technology architecture
- Ability to translate business strategy into concrete solutions, and design and execute technology systems architecture blueprint to support that strategy
Responsibilities
- Establish the vision of global platform architecture and platform engineering Aritzia, prioritizing the right opportunities at the right time
- Collaborate with Technology and Digital leadership teams to drive standardization, consolidation, and reusability across our technology system portfolio and build multi-year architecture roadmaps to build strategic alignment
- Establish the product development methodology your team will adopts to ensure the right solutions are delivered effectively
- Create a distributed governance framework that will lay the foundation for Aritzia’s architecture standards
- Lead the development of tools and frameworks that allow other technology teams to deliver their own APIs and workflows using enterprise certified tools, frameworks, and templates
- Standardize the software development lifecycle and deliver more value to clients with higher quality and efficient spending
- Work with the appropriate Business Support partners to seamlessly lead the day-to-day function of the department in support of corporate objectives, while enabling progressive career development and an incredible employee experience.
