Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university
- Two or more years of direct sales experience. Packaging industry experience preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills, and multi-tasking skills
- Strong Microsoft Application skills; including Outlook, OneDrive, and Excel, along with CRM system experience, such as Salesforce.com
- Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment focusing on short and long term personal/sales/organization goals, see the bigger picture, and think logically in stressful situations
Responsibilities
- Responsible for inbound and/or outbound sales calls directly from/to prospective and/or existing customers to achieve sales targets
- Performs outbound sales activities including cold calling, lead follow-up, and sales qualification that leads to the development of a portfolio of customers
- Meet/exceed identified outbound call quotas
- Conduct store shelf audits to identify competitor pumps to gain leads on potential business
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives while ensuring the optimum customer experience and satisfaction using proven practices, processes, and procedures
- Develop and maintain customer profiles and product files for assigned accounts
- Manage assigned accounts including order trend analysis across three SBU’s, inventory management, and entering and overseeing progress of orders
- Pro-actively engage with customers to better understand needs and challenges
- Drive system, process, and operations recommendations that create service solutions
- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships with accounts and reach deeper into their organization to help drive decision-making in a timely manner
- Proactively work close with manufacturing plants making recommendations based on customer requirements
- Take a lead role and represent Sales by addressing operational solutions/issues at the site of the customer as needed
- Provide Sales management with pertinent information regarding marketplace activities that could benefit/impact sales efforts in associated business units
