Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Chemistry, Physics, or a closely related field required.
- 2-3 years of lab experience, which may be covered academically.
- HPLC, GC, IC, ICP, AA, UV preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft business software including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with instrument software such as OpenLab/Chemstation and Chromeleon preferred.
- Experience with calibration/maintenance software Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Manager preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and issue work orders for in-house standards and compendial testing. Track the results.
- Create, track, and maintain validation documentation for all laboratory instrumentation.
- Maintain Blue Mountain software for covered items.
- Update or write methods for calibration, maintenance, or instrument use.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation when breakdowns occur.
- Write laboratory investigation reports that include the cause of instrument failure, repairs, and impact on data analyzed on instrumentation.
- Schedule and oversee third-party technicians on site to perform calibrations and preventative maintenance.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Manager, QA/Metrology.
Preferred Qualifications
