Requirements
- Currently pursuing a PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Computer and Electrical Engineering, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, or other related disciplines
- Exceptional Master’s degree candidates will also be considered
- Demonstrated success in solving difficult problems with deep learning methods (e.g., publication at top-tier conferences)
- Experience working with PyTorch and other data science and machine learning libraries in Python
- Excellent knowledge of the latest research in the domain of expertise
- Experience in synthetic dataset generation would be a plus
- Experience in engineering design would be a plus
Responsibilities
- Conduct original research in developing, extending, and/or applying deep learning methods for solving an engineering design problem
- Architect and implement a data generation and model training/testing pipeline
- Publish the outcome at a top-tier AI conference
- Create a prototype/demo to showcase the solution and present the results to internal audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in synthetic dataset generation would be a plus
- Experience in engineering design would be a plus
