Requirements
- Currently pursuing an MBA or other graduate-level degree in finance, business, economics, engineering, or computer science
- Strong quantitative skills
- Proficient in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Ability to clearly communicate concepts and support hypotheses with data
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn about renewable project development, financing structures, and power markets
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable
- Ability to work independently, multitask and take ownership over projects and assignments
Responsibilities
- Provide project management, conceptual & analytical problem solving on key cross-functional projects
- Become familiar with and conduct analyses in financial models
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on due diligence of new product introduction / new market entry complementary to core business segments
- Perform ad-hoc quantitative analyses to support ongoing origination, development, and financing activities for projects
- Assist in the preparation of detailed memos and presentations for senior management, executive leadership team, investment committees, or the board of directors
- Conduct market analysis to identify new growth areas and merger & acquisitions targets
- Maintain competitive market intelligence for the renewable energy industry
- Present results of individual project to project leadership at the end of the summer
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in banking, structured project finance, or management consulting is helpful, though not required
