Requirements

  • Knowledge of purchasing and logistics, executing processes and procedures, proper food safety and sanitation practices, and facility management
  • Successful ability to create & maintain effective relationships with key partners, vendors, contractors, and industry organizations
  • Experience in sourcing, purchasing, invoicing and related systems
  • Excellent written, verbal skills
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 50% of the year (as driven by business needs) and work outside of business hours

Responsibilities

  • Provides shore support for all aspects of island operations
  • Supports Manager, Island Operations in coordination and execution of island operation including Recreation, Maintenance, Custodial, Landscaping, Pest Control, Tram Operations, Galley, Medical, Security, Animal Programs, and Human Resources
  • Partners with all shore lines of business to support the island operation including Disney Cruise Line® Safety, Security and Environmental Policy and Compliance, Hotel Operations, Marine Operations, Technical Operations, Entertainment and Port Adventures, Animal Programs, Purchasing and Logistics, and Human Resources
  • Supports with the maintenance and revision of island Location Operating Guidelines, and OJT materials
  • Shoreside liaison for island recreation operation
  • Supports island recreation product enhancement or change initiatives
  • Partner with Walt Disney World Animal Programs for Castaway Ray’s Stingray Program
  • Partners with Manager, Island Operations to see that island Crew services and facilities are maintained at an adequate level
  • Supports Labor Operations/Scheduling to verify proper and effective management and Cast coverage
  • Responsible for adhering to Company policies and standards, and all regulatory and Bahamian requirements applicable to the island operation
  • Supports Manager, Island Operations in monitoring performance to see to the highest level of Guest and Cast satisfaction, and financial/operational results for the island
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned by Managers, Island Operations
  • Responsible for the implementation of general safety management responsibilities specified in the Safety Management System (SMS) for areas under their control

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Island Resort Operation or Shipboard Operation
