Requirements

Responsibilities

• Oversee the performance, availability, and security of IT systems, networks, and cloud environments
• Develop and implement IT policies, best practices, and service management processes to ensure efficiency
• Manage system monitoring, backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the IT team
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and leadership as needed
• Collaborate with other departments to align IT services with business needs
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, policies, and regulations
• Implement security best practices to protect company data and intellectual property
• Conduct regular IT risk assessments and security audits
• Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and consultants
• Oversee IT budgets, procurement, and cost optimization strategies
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive IT innovation
• Identify opportunities to improve IT efficiency, automation, and scalability
• Collaborate with leadership on long-term IT planning and digital transformation initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+, or AWS
• Experience in the energy sector, research environments, or high-tech industries
• Familiarity with DevOps, automation, and scalable IT infrastructure
