Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Human Resources, Organizational Management, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a corporate environment.
  • Basic understanding of IT, oil and gas industry, or other technical industries.
  • Experience in creating learning plans.
  • Ability to design engaging and effective learning experiences.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with LMS and e-Learning authoring software such as Articulate Storyline 360, Camtasia, Vyond, Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe Illustrator (or equivalent tools).
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision making.
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Teams, Slack.
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in Creating Technical Career Paths: Support the development of structured career paths for IT professionals by working with IT leaders to evaluate current skill sets and identify potential roles and responsibilities and helping to determine what skills and certifications support those responsibilities.
  • Stay Updated with Technology: Engage with IT leaders and vendors to stay informed about the latest technological solutions relevant to the oil and gas industry.
  • Collaborate with SMEs: Work closely with IT Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to assist in designing and developing instructional materials, including tutorials, job aids, reference guides, and instructor guides.
  • Support Learning Plan Development: Help advance and improve IT technical learning solutions and skills frameworks by creating effective learning plans.
  • Research Trends: Stay updated on IT learning and development trends through internal and external benchmarking and participation in professional associations.
  • Customized Learning Solutions: Conduct needs assessments to identify specific IT technical learning needs and tailor customized learning solutions.
  • Create Engaging Experiences: Assist in designing user experiences that educate and inform IT employees through various media such as gamification, video, animation, web pages, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective Communication: Support the internal and external communication of IT initiatives and technical learning programs.
  • Develop Guidelines and Templates: Help develop and maintain guidelines and templates for IT learning products.
  • Facilitate Technical Mentoring Programs: Coordinate technical mentorship opportunities to ensure knowledge transfer and professional growth.
  • Support IT Digital Talent Development: Assist in executing the IT Digital Talent Development strategy to enhance career management and improve the employee experience.
  • Track IT Skills Development: Manage IT skills maps and learning plans within the learning management system to ensure employees have the necessary technical skills.
