Requirements
- Extensive experience with Salesforce platform and related technologies.
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.

- Proven ability to manage diverse stakeholders and ensure delivery to a high degree of satisfaction.
- Ability to diagnose and use industry standard tools and techniques to assure the application performs to client expectations.
- Experience in cloud / hosted software environment.
- Troubleshoot critical production issues affecting end-users, including system unavailability and data integrity issues.
- Handle inquiries regarding all technical issues, information requests on application capabilities, navigation, installation or configuration.
- Provide coordinated support for getting new releases and configuration changes into production.
- Gather information for analysis, carry out the necessary research, setup test environments, replicate issues locally and propose resolutions or workarounds.
- Be a client facing representative of the Development and Product teams.
- Document new processes and keep existing documentation and tools up to date as the environment changes.
- Interface with engineering, product management and professional services when necessary.
- Lead gap analyses, workshop preparation and delivery, requirements gathering, configuration, validation, and customer training.
- Gather customer functional and technical requirements to support business processes; translate requirements into system configuration.
- Experience in development of Interfaces/Integration between on-premises and Salesforce/Veeva platform using API’s, Web Services (MuleSoft) and ETL (SnapLogic).
- Participate in weekly calls with release management to plan and prepare all production facing releases.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted IT platform consultant and expert, providing guidance to IT and business stakeholders across Clinical, Regulatory, and Quality functions.
- Identify and leverage Cross-Vault synergies, promoting adoption of shared platform capabilities and features to streamline processes and enhance business value.
- Evaluate Veeva general releases, conduct assessments/POCs, and develop business cases for implementing new enhancements or configurations to align with enterprise needs.
- Proactively socialize unused or newly introduced platform features, driving awareness, and adoption across the organization.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver end-to-end implementations across the R&D IT Clinical, QA& Regulatory ecosystem.
- Lead delivery activities through the full software lifecycle: Design, Build, Test, and Deploy.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight for configuration, integration, and user experience (UX) optimizations, ensuring solutions align with business objectives and regulatory standards.
- Manage and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless integration and deployment using tools like MuleSoft, SnapLogic, and GlobalScape.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation for technical specifications, configurations, and integration mappings to support ongoing platform management.
- Maintain the GxP-qualified status of the platform by adhering to quality change management and configuration processes.
- Partner with Quality and Testing teams to validate platform changes, summarize test results, and ensure release readiness.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks and dependencies related to upstream and downstream systems during release cycles.
- Mentor and coach team members, including the Cross Vault Technical Excellence, to improve delivery throughput and solution quality.
- Foster a collaborative environment that promotes innovation, knowledge-sharing, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with the Integration Platform team to align on integration designs and improve the integration landscape by simplifying workflows and ensuring seamless interoperability.
- Oversee and update the JIRA board during the lifecycle of implementations, focusing on requirements gathering, configuration, validation/testing, training, and go-live activities.
- Work closely with the Veeva technical team to address requirements, resolve issues related to APIs, security setups, and functional configurations.
- Provide maintenance support in alignment with the defined service support plan, ensuring smooth operations post-implementation.
- Drive the creation and execution of platform exploitation ideas, identifying opportunities to maximize value from the Veeva Vault platform.
- Regularly assess the integration landscape to propose and implement simplified designs aligned with AstraZeneca’s enterprise goals.
- Ensure all technical specifications and design documents remain up to date as the platform evolves.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years’ direct experience working with Salesforce or Veeva Vault Technologies implementation and establishing enduring Governance to drive strategic Product Roadmap Deliveries.
- Proven track record working for high impact global system implementation programs as a consultant, business, or IT role.
- Experience with the Salesforce or Veeva Vault Development Platform, including CTMS, RIM, QMS, and cross-domain integrations.
- Familiarity with other systems such as Documentum, NextDocs, or SharePoint.
- Contributed strategies and implementation program(s) for deploying the Salesforce or Veeva Vault suite across an organization globally.
- Expert in scripting (batch, Perl, Bash, Ruby, Groovy, or similar languages).
- Experience in developing/programming (Java, C++, or similar languages).
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, or similar tools).
- Experience with software configuration management tools (GIT, SVN or similar tools).
- Experience with creating CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar tools).
- Understanding of the build tools (maven, ant, gradle, setup.py, Sonar or similar tools).
- Experience with Cloud Platforms such as AWS, AZURE.
- Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Automated Testing tools.
- Experience of working in agile teams using methodologies such as SCRUM and SAFe.
