Requirements
- Must be ACA-accredited MLS (Master of Library Science)
- Master’s degree in Library Science preferably with specialized or government libraries concentration
- Three (3) years of experience providing customer service in a library, educational or public service environment
- Three (3) years of experience using popular software programs with ability to learn new technology, preference given to candidates with experience in manuscript management systems
Responsibilities
- Serves as the lead on interlibrary loans, circulation, and collection maintenance
- Curates collection development recommendations
- Catalogs library materials including NTP reports
- Performs technical services for the library including acquisitions, cataloging, interlibrary loans, circulation, and collection maintenance
- Submits orders for library materials and supplies including new books and renewals
- Conducts literature searches and organizes results in EndNote
- Creates bibliometric visualizations and data clean up
- Assists with weekly and monthly research alerts
- Manages donations program
- Provides backup support to library staff on projects including the weekly report
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manuscript management systems preferred
