Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET (or equivalent) accredited university/college
  • 7+ years of experience in building construction and systems, HVAC, energy engineering, electrical controls and circuitry and energy management systems
  • Theoretical Engineering knowledge – Planning, Operations and Engineering Design, Analytic, modeling & Calculation, understanding the business model; Global View of the Business
  • Practical engineering experience/application – Planning, Operations and Engineering Design, Construction
  • Ability to adequately document and interpret engineering documentation
  • Ability to review and approve engineering work done by others to ensure compliance with company standards, specifications, and contract requirements
  • Knowledge of Regulatory and Compliance Environment – Local, State and Federal Regulatory Standards and requirements

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparing all benefit/cost analyses and goals for the annual CLM Plan
  • Propose technical improvements to CLM efforts; participate in CLM process optimization to improve product and service offerings to enable the business unit to meet or exceed goals and targets
  • Prepare annual CLM forecasts for AVANGRID operating companies and their specific ISO organizations
  • Prepare annual update of Program Savings Document and Technical Resource Manuals
  • Technical participation in all required reporting to legislative and regulatory bodies
  • Work with industry counterparts to conduct technical research on energy efficiency and demand management/reduction products and services
  • Coordinate and be key technical point of contact for external audits and evaluations
  • Maintain program performance and cost records for reporting purposes and to predict future performance
  • Participate in evaluation committees to assist vendor efforts in impact and process evaluation activities
  • Contribute to and coordinate the Company’s participation in various regulatory proceedings related to CLM; develop testimony and respond to interrogatories with a strategic policy perspective
  • Participate in and represent Avangrid within various industry associations
  • Utilize knowledge to influence and guide department engineers
  • Provide technical leadership in complex projects that have a wide impact on the department
  • Mentor, develop and support team in technical skills
  • Ability to collaborate across departments
  • Liaison/direct contractors on company policy, standards and best practices
  • Work independently with little supervision

  • Demonstrated cost benefit analysis, statistical modeling and analysis skills
  • Advanced abilities utilizing Microsoft Excel and other statistical software tools

  • Data collection, preparation and dissemination of advanced documents and reports
  • Ability to work with many different stakeholders, all working towards a common goal
  • Ability to manage and balance a diverse workload and meet all deadlines

  • Experience with energy efficiency programs and regulatory environments
