Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
  • At least 3 additional years of experience in an aerospace or engineering position
  • Ability to travel out of state or country minimum 10% annual
  • Ability to support off-site test locations in Ohio (Dayton, Peebles, etc) minimum 50% annual
  • This role requires on site presence at our Evendale, OH location and is not remote a role.

Responsibilities

  • Leads Test and Assembly organizations to high quality and on time delivery of test data to support program test plan targets.
  • Understands and approves test and assembly requirements definition.
  • Provides alternate solutions to best meet the needs of the test and advises on risks associated with chosen plans.
  • Evaluation Owner in Test Vehicle Tollgate process.
  • Provides engineering support and expertise to ensure engines are assembled and tested to satisfy current, issued engineering definition.
  • Determines the specific expertise needed to execute on test requirements and coordinates resources and schedules to meet requirements.
  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles.
  • Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.
  • Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • Leads complex projects with medium to high risk.
  • Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.
  • Experience in GE Aerospace engine test and/or Test Systems Engineering (TSE)
