Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in facilities maintenance for large commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or research sites)
  • Strong and broad knowledge of cost estimating for maintenance and construction projects
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and assembly drawings
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in the development & execution of multiple construction projects that support research at the designated site
  • Develop specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field
  • Serve as best practice/quality resource and contribute towards strategy and policy development
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements
  • Use judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems that impact the function

  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement for an organization
