Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of relevant revenue work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with identifying and interpreting trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences and provide recommendations for flow/corrections.
  • One or more years of experience with writing SQL.

Responsibilities

  • Providing ongoing validation and controls of invoice detail data on an on-going basis utilizing advanced SQL to pull data from Teradata, Oracle, and Hadoop for every cycle, every day.
  • Utilizing Intermediate Python skills for data validations for every cycle.
  • Driving improvements and automations in billing processes; manage investigation of bill cycle issues.
  • Acting as escalation point for investigation needed for balancing/trending team issues.
  • Acting as a liaison between RAPA and IT for access resolution, data integrity resolution, and data availability resolution.
  • Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for all aspects of the wireline revenue in relation to the revenue flow through to the drop off point (BODS).
  • Analyzing complex business issues to provide business insights for large-scale Invoice projects in line with short/long-term strategies/objectives and with significant impact on RAPA’s processes.
  • Providing data/advanced data analytics primarily from the various warehouses used by RAPA.
  • Providing and/or driving Ad-hoc system solutions and ongoing replacement/repair of data through the Data Warehouses, as well as data copies and flow through to final presentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One or more years of experience using Teradata, SQL Server, Oracle, or Hadoop.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and proven ability to focus on the details.
  • A professional certification (e.g. Teradata, Microsoft, JAVA).
  • Proficiency in the usage of Verizon invoicing systems.
  • Knowledge in the usage of analytical software.
  • Experience in both wireline and wireless invoicing.
  • Python or general programming experience.
