Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- At least 10 years experience in battery energy storage, the electric power industry, or similar experience with complex industrial electrical systems
- Solid understanding of the electrical, control, and systems principles of a grid-scale battery energy storage system
- Effective written and verbal communication in the English language
Responsibilities
- Develop a holistic view of the product and lead initiatives that contribute to a multi-disciplinary approach to optimize product performance
- Solve difficult electrical and control problems that affect a battery energy storage system
- Fully own key initiatives as the leader of small teams of engineers and other stakeholders
- Provide written and verbal reports to leadership
- Prepare change requests, technical bulletins, and design documents as necessary
- Contribute to building out product validation methodologies
- Lead in the preparation and execution of tests of BESS systems
- Complete battery energy storage system (BESS) project site visits
- Recommend new initiatives to optimize product performance
- Contribute to the mentorship of Fluence colleagues
