Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers and administrators in developing and executing a comprehensive cloud smart strategy
- Define the architecture, security posture, and operational processes for the SOCOM customer private cloud
- Oversee application migration efforts and ensure alignment with DoD regulations for handling classified information
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven track record of leading teams of engineers and architects in delivering complex cloud projects, specifically within private cloud environments
- Deep expertise in private cloud architectures, virtualization technologies (e.g. VMWare vSphere, KVM), and cloud management platforms
- Extensive experience with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture as applicable to private cloud deployments
- Strong understanding of security protocols, and standards relevant to DoD environments (NIST, STIGs, CMMC) specifically for private cloud implementations
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and object-oriented programming languages (Java, Go)
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders
