Lead Technical Developer – Nikeskims Apparel

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, or training
A minimum of 6 years directly relevant work experience
6+ years technical development/design experience in the apparel industry, which includes the apparel development process from inception through production including pattern creation, construction, materials, costing, print / graphics, manufacturing and quality
Ability to write product specs and advanced construction instructions along with interpreting design intent and offering alternative solutions
Ability to act as a technical resource, mentor others and lead initiatives through high energy and positive influence
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to excel in a deadline driven environment
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills with attention to detail and process orientation
Proficiency with MS Office programs and confident using Adobe Illustrator and CAD Pattern Design software
Ability to travel 30% (domestic and international)

Manage assigned styles collaboratively with cross functional partners on creative solutions and execution whilst creating digital protos and tech packs for factories
Review prototypes and samples taking the styles through the creation process and ensuring to meet gates and dates to ensure on-time production capability
Create and update Tech Packs for factory partners including measurements, construction sketches and graphic placements
Lead proto review sessions and write comments
Supervise and request prototypes for styles, manage and meet calendar target dates
Attend meetings that relate to product’s development and communicate progress and challenges to the team as needed
