Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, or training
- A minimum of 6 years directly relevant work experience
- 6+ years technical development/design experience in the apparel industry, which includes the apparel development process from inception through production including pattern creation, construction, materials, costing, print / graphics, manufacturing and quality
- Ability to write product specs and advanced construction instructions along with interpreting design intent and offering alternative solutions
- Ability to act as a technical resource, mentor others and lead initiatives through high energy and positive influence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to excel in a deadline driven environment
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills with attention to detail and process orientation
- Proficiency with MS Office programs and confident using Adobe Illustrator and CAD Pattern Design software
- Ability to travel 30% (domestic and international)
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned styles collaboratively with cross functional partners on creative solutions and execution whilst creating digital protos and tech packs for factories
- Review prototypes and samples taking the styles through the creation process and ensuring to meet gates and dates to ensure on-time production capability
- Create and update Tech Packs for factory partners including measurements, construction sketches and graphic placements
- Lead proto review sessions and write comments
- Supervise and request prototypes for styles, manage and meet calendar target dates
- Attend meetings that relate to product’s development and communicate progress and challenges to the team as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Optitex/Browzwear/CLO preferred
