Requirements
- Masters degree in agricultural education, or a related discipline
- A minimum of three years’ work experience in agricultural education, extension education, or a field relevant to the potential course topics
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Prior experience facilitating group learning opportunities
- Willingness to interact with and support the professional growth of educators and communicators from a variety of backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Modify curriculum and plan instruction for existing courses
- Teach 6-8 courses per year dependent upon program needs
- Provide timely and developmental feedback on student learning
- Collect and supply data related to program assessment
- Engage in student recruitment efforts when possible
- Active engagement as a contributing member of the ACEL academic programs team – particularly with the Agriscience Education degree program
- Serve as an active and positive advocate for career opportunities related to ACEL and CFAES degree programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate coursework in social science statistical analysis is preferred
- Public School teaching experience as an agricultural education instructor is preferred.
