Requirements
- Earned Master’s degree in agribusiness, business, finance, applied economics, or related fields.
- One year of experience and good performance in teaching and undergraduate engagement related to agribusiness.
- Demonstrated teaching experience in face-to-face and/or online environments; a strong commitment to quality teaching, excellent communication skills, and a desire to teach and mentor undergraduate students.
Responsibilities
- Teach the equivalent of seven (7) full-semester courses in the fall and spring semesters for AEDE, about 21 credit hours in total for the academic year.
- Engage in course revision and development, discussion of department undergraduate curricula, and occasional involvement in student recruiting activity.
- Engage with industry regarding student career preparation and internship opportunities.
- Consider non-classroom student related scholarly activities for equivalence to classroom activity upon negotiation with the Department Chair.
Preferred Qualifications
- Earned PhD degree in agribusiness, business, finance, applied economics, or related fields.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and undergraduate engagement.
- Ability to teach in both face-to-face and online modalities.
- Experience in and willingness to engage with businesses that work in areas of agriculture, food, energy, and natural resources.
