Requirements
- JD from an accredited law school.
- 2+ years of post JD experience either at a law firm or in-house (or combination thereof).
- Member of the California bar.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of complex commercial agreements, including non disclosure agreements, distribution agreements, agency agreements, and vendor agreements that support and enable our global business operations.
- Provide advice and counsel to the business on transactional legal matters and proposed corporate actions and projects.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively, to identify and resolve legal issues.
- Triage novel requests and appropriately escalate to other Senior Corporate Counsels or the VP of Legal.
- Manage company litigation.
- Support team projects and contribute to other duties as required to meet business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- A people person with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work in a fast paced workplace/company, complying with short internal SLAs.
- Able to multitask and prioritize work.
- A demonstrated ability to drive execution in a team environment, integrating legal advice and business knowledge while providing balanced advice regarding risks and benefits.
- A transactional background (corporate, commercial arrangements) with extensive experience drafting and negotiating preferred.
- A willingness to expand your practice and explore new areas of the law, including corporate law, privacy law, insurance law and employment law.
