Requirements
- Current LPN-LVN license in the state of practice required
- Current CPR certification required
- IV certification required if required by state regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of one year’s nursing experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
- Completed training program approved by the medical director and the governing body as required by CMS guidelines prior to operating the water treatment system
- BONENT or CHT certification preferred or as required by state regulation
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook required; functional proficiency in computer systems of DaVita within 90 days of hire required)
- This position also requires successful completion of the pre-employment color blind test, accommodation may be provided.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the complete ongoing care of each patient to ensure their dialysis treatment stays on track
- Work in conjunction with dialysis RNs to provide dialysis care
- Spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment
- Meet and/or exceed clinical outcomes and multitask to meet the needs of the service, the patients and SNF partners
- Provide comprehensive patient care in an independent setting, applying core skills to monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of one year’s nursing experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
