Requirements
- Degree from an accredited school of nursing
- Current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Kansas
- Licensed and/or certified in the field of specialty in the State of Kansas
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Responsibilities
- Provide direct physical and emotional support
- Take medication orders and supervise the dispensing of medications
- Chart and maintain medical records
- Perform nursing assessments to identify strengths and nursing care needs of patients/clients
- Consult with direct care staff and doctors regarding injuries and accidents
- Advocate for cultural sensitivity and responsiveness in interactions
