Requirements
- Resident Life Insurance Producer License (may be obtained after offer, but before starting)
- Demonstrated success in selling life insurance or financial protection products
- Strong interpersonal and consultative selling skills
- Proven ability to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Excellent phone and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
- Comfort with software platforms, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Ability to manage sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism
Responsibilities
- Educate prospective clients on life insurance products, including term, whole, and universal life coverage
- Conduct needs analyses to understand clients’ financial situations and recommend appropriate coverage options
- Build and maintain a pipeline of leads and follow up with potential and existing clients to drive policy sales and renewals
- Take inbound and outbound calls, leveraging consultative sales techniques to identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of life insurance regulations, underwriting requirements, and product offerings
- Assist clients with application processes, beneficiary updates, and policy maintenance
- Provide compassionate support in the event of a claim, guiding beneficiaries through the process
- Stay compliant with licensing requirements and attend ongoing training to remain informed about the industry and emerging trends
- Accurately document client interactions, policy changes, and sales activities in CRM tools
- Collaborate with internal support teams to ensure a smooth onboarding and customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of life insurance or financial services sales experience
- Knowledge of underwriting processes and life product differences (term, whole, universal)
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- Experience working in a virtual or call center–based environment
