Requirements
- Progress toward a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Software or Information Systems, Quantitative Life Sciences or equivalent
- 1+ Years of Coding Experience in at least one software language (Python, SQL, Javascript, or similar)
- Desire to gain experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams across CLIA, R&D, Process Engineering, Software Engineering, and Bioinformatics
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose basic technical issues
- Experience developing scripting solutions to automation problems, especially in a fast paced/agile setting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work flexibly and well under given timeframes
- Highly organized, strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative problem-solver that finds a way to get things done
- Enjoy a wide variety of daily tasks in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with SMEs to develop & implement a LIMS project
- Learn about existing LIMS workflows, their operations, lifecycle and data
- Shadow LIMS team members in relevant meetings
- Assist with triage & escalate unresolved technical issues to appropriate team members
- Network with internal stakeholders to develop new ideas and understanding
- Develop relevant technical documentation for future use of your project
- Ensure compliance to all relevant corporate and regulatory requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in Python and/or Postgres
- Experience with LIMS development
- Experience with NGS and bench work
- Experience with Django, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Jupyter Notebooks
- Ability to learn and interface with new APIs and hardware integrations
- Experience working in CLIA Lab, medical device, or pharma
