Requirements
- Minimum 8+ year experience
- Proven experience in managing Linux/Unix engineering and operations teams
- Strong knowledge of Linux (Red Hat), Unix (AIX), and Cloud AWS
- Experience with hardware support for IBM pSeries (AIX) and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization
- Proficiency in vulnerability patch management and compliance with technical security standards
- Experience with automation platforms like Ansible
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Linux/Unix engineering and operations team.
- Oversee the build and support of operating systems, including Linux (Red Hat), Unix (AIX), and Cloud AWS.
- Ensure hardware support for IBM pSeries (AIX) and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization.
- Manage vulnerability patch management and ensure compliance with technical security standards.
- Lead automation efforts using platforms like Ansible.
- Provide engineering and support for automation efforts on supported platforms.
- Collaborate with various departments to support project initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze support requests, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Manage and track operational, preventative, project, and maintenance support activities.
- Lead efforts to migrate systems and decommission outdated platforms.
- Ensure compliance with security and risk management protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in Linux, Unix, or related technologies
- Experience with cloud platforms and virtualization technologies
