Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ year experience
  • Proven experience in managing Linux/Unix engineering and operations teams
  • Strong knowledge of Linux (Red Hat), Unix (AIX), and Cloud AWS
  • Experience with hardware support for IBM pSeries (AIX) and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization
  • Proficiency in vulnerability patch management and compliance with technical security standards
  • Experience with automation platforms like Ansible
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Linux/Unix engineering and operations team.
  • Oversee the build and support of operating systems, including Linux (Red Hat), Unix (AIX), and Cloud AWS.
  • Ensure hardware support for IBM pSeries (AIX) and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization.
  • Manage vulnerability patch management and ensure compliance with technical security standards.
  • Lead automation efforts using platforms like Ansible.
  • Provide engineering and support for automation efforts on supported platforms.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support project initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze support requests, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Manage and track operational, preventative, project, and maintenance support activities.
  • Lead efforts to migrate systems and decommission outdated platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with security and risk management protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in Linux, Unix, or related technologies
  • Experience with cloud platforms and virtualization technologies
  • Knowledge of security and risk management protocols
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies
