Requirements

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Engineering, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in a live broadcast environment or similar role.
  • Strong technical proficiency with broadcast equipment, including video servers, audio consoles, and automation systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and handle the demands of live broadcasting.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of broadcasting regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and workflows.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor broadcast equipment during live events to ensure seamless transmission.
  • Manage signal flow and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise during live broadcasts.
  • Coordinate with production teams, directors, and on-air talent to ensure smooth execution of live events.
  • Monitor and adjust audio and video levels to maintain broadcast quality.
  • Implement and follow standard operating procedures for live event broadcasts.
  • Ensure compliance with all broadcasting regulations and industry standards.
  • Maintain detailed logs and reports of live event broadcasts, including any technical issues and resolutions.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to production teams and other stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and new technologies to continuously improve live event operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with specific broadcast automation systems and software.
  • Previous experience in live event production or similar roles.
  • Additional certifications in broadcast engineering or related fields.
