Requirements
- 3-5+ years as a game producer and have a background in Localization in a AAA gaming studio; you have the experience needed to set localization up for success, in any genre
- Experience working with multiple technical and creative disciplines
- Ability to understand, simplify, and solve any problem even through constant change
- Comfort working with all teams to drive results
- Experience with the tools of the trade: you’re conversant in localization content management systems, version control systems, and media localization tools
- Knowledge of office type programs, experience with software and tools related to planning, scheduling, and QA
- An Agile advocate: you’re familiar with Agile methodologies when applied to localization. You understand the difference between ‘doing Agile’ and ‘being Agile’
- A Loc pro: you have an in-depth knowledge of game localization and you’re well versed in multiple forms of media; you’re knowledgeable of the voice recording process as it applies to the multiple locales
- Ability to make data ‘speak’ through analysis and application on a large-scale
Responsibilities
- Build sustainable pipelines, always considering the future and putting scalability at the forefront
- Identify project risks, create mitigation plans, and communicate them with all relevant partners
- Champion the tenets of holistic ownership of products and processes from end-to-end while engaging all partners concerning localization.
- Advocate for the vision of the localized experience, building relationships with developers and regional teams
- Gather, interpret, and use data to illustrate issues and drive change at the product level
- Ensure that our dev practices incorporate internationalization and global mindset as part of the core philosophy
- Communicate the goals and status of your project(s) to senior leaders to achieve constant partner alignment across the organization
- Showcase exemplary communication skills: listening to, speaking with, and resolving conflicts with members of dynamic disciplines all while remaining objective in challenging situations
- Connect centrally located Rioters with Rioters in other regions, developing lines of communication and encouraging holistic teamwork
- Develop the production muscle of the localization discipline by providing mentorship to junior producers and working with senior production members to identify needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience driving production in a live product environment
- Track record of successfully partnering with globally disparate teams/stakeholders
