Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
  • Two (2) years of experience in inventory control, supply chain management, or materials management in a private, public, government or military environment.

Responsibilities

  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the SAP inventory control system.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner including SAP Queue error inventory discrepancies and facilitate corrections within Manufacturing and Logistics systems.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure inventory accuracy and optimize inventory management.
  • Prepare and present inventory reports to management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in audits to demonstrate compliance with inventory and financial policies.
  • Be willing to cross-train as Inbound Transportation Coordinator.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Four (4) years of experience in inventory control, supply chain management, or materials management in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control processes, material ordering, and supply chain coordination.
  • Proficient in Excel, including the ability to analyze data, manage inventory spreadsheets, and generate reports.
  • Experience with SAP or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for inventory management and reporting.
  • Expertise in conducting root cause analysis to identify and address inventory discrepancies and improve accuracy.
  • Ability to effectively monitor and adjust inventory levels based on production needs and forecasts.
  • Advanced PC skills, including knowledge of relevant software packages.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; capable of presenting information to various stakeholders, including management.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Experience in reviewing financial reports related to inventory (backflush, consumption, etc.) and providing actionable feedback.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
  • Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.
