Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or CPA preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance/accounting in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Background in Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive manufacturing preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and financial reporting
  • Experience with ERP systems (QAD, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Ability to analyze financial data, interpret trends, and provide actionable insights at a plant and corporate level via Hyperion consolidation systems (One-Stream)
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and protocols in manufacturing environments.
  • English proficiency required, with strong verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the month-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze weekly and monthly scrap and efficiency reports, reconciling inventory for financial accuracy.
  • Track and forecast weekly expenses, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to support financial planning.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual) in compliance with GAAP and corporate policies.
  • Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries from internal and external auditors.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and margins to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain and update standard costs, working closely with operations and finance teams.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support business decisions.
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and plant management to optimize financial performance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior finance team members.
  • Act as a key finance partner, supporting leadership with data-driven insights.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.
  • Actively contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment, demonstrating flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs and priorities.
