Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive experience in finance/accounting in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Background in Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive manufacturing preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and financial reporting
- Experience with ERP systems (QAD, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
- Ability to analyze financial data, interpret trends, and provide actionable insights at a plant and corporate level via Hyperion consolidation systems (One-Stream)
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Knowledge of safety standards and protocols in manufacturing environments.
- English proficiency required, with strong verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the month-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze weekly and monthly scrap and efficiency reports, reconciling inventory for financial accuracy.
- Track and forecast weekly expenses, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to support financial planning.
- Assist in preparing financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual) in compliance with GAAP and corporate policies.
- Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries from internal and external auditors.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and margins to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain and update standard costs, working closely with operations and finance teams.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support business decisions.
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and plant management to optimize financial performance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior finance team members.
- Act as a key finance partner, supporting leadership with data-driven insights.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.
- Actively contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment, demonstrating flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs and priorities.
