Requirements

  • A strong understanding of electrical, robotic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, NEC Standards, and the Fire Code.
  • Ability to develop and implement ISO standards and write policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed (i.e. different shifts, weekends, and plant shutdown periods).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the safety of personnel, across all shifts, is prioritized.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, & sustainment of safety policies and procedures.
  • Supervise all planned and unplanned maintenance activities related to the repair of plant and facilities equipment.
  • Establish preventative and predictive maintenance methods to reduce unscheduled downtime.
  • Plan and recommend future equipment and facility requirements.
  • Coordinate work with outside vendors/contractors to assist with maintenance activities and improvement projects.
  • Manage appropriate spare parts inventory levels for critical machinery.
  • Track plant and departmental metrics. Perform root cause analysis, develop action plans, and drive implementation to improve lagging metrics.
  • Support plant improvement activities through regular participation in the Tiered Communication system, Gemba Walks, 5S Audits, and Process Effectiveness Audits.
  • Handle maintenance personnel matters such as safety concerns, vacation, disciplinary actions, timekeeping, training, scheduled wage increases, and performance evaluations.
  • Assist in the selection and development of maintenance personnel.
  • Identify training and educational needs and assist in implementation of these programs.
  • Maintain safety, quality and production standards following all ISO and Company pro.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
