Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Preferably in engineering, business, operations management, or similar field
  • Lean Six Sigma Experience preferred, demonstrated by successful completion of a major continuous improvement projects.
  • 2 + years of manufacturing experience in a consumer products manufacturing operation preferred
  • Self-motivated, results driven and action oriented.
  • Ability to make independent and sound decisions.
  • Ability to conduct assessments and audits and evaluate to measure progress.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of Business Finance principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Ability to lead a team-based approach to decision-making

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Operations, Quality, and Engineering/Maintenance to deliver improved results in safety, quality, cost, productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop solutions to repetitive failures and all situations that adversely affect plant operations.
  • Lead the Focused Improvement pillar for the Urbandale site.
  • Develop mastery and understanding for the processes they are assigned to and use that mastery to deliver improved TE, quality, yield, and thru-put.
  • Understand the physics and chemistry of how the production systems are designed to function, their limitations, and the impact of variation on thru-put, reliability, yield / breakage and quality.
  • Collect, analyze, interpret, and conduct opportunity analysis on planned and unplanned downtime, rate, yield, and quality loss data.
  • Develop loss analysis & TE improvement plans, lead plan execution, and track results.
  • Manage the Centerline System, including its development, maintenance & change management.
  • Implement quality improvement processes and quality validation.
  • Lead Rapid Changeover activities to reduce changeover time and achieve challenging objectives.
  • Engage in analytical troubleshooting & problem solving, process definition & capability studies, and Lean Six Sigma training.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Experience preferred, demonstrated by successful completion of a major continuous improvement projects.
  • 2 + years of manufacturing experience in a consumer products manufacturing operation preferred.
