Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Preferably in engineering, business, operations management, or similar field
- Lean Six Sigma Experience preferred, demonstrated by successful completion of a major continuous improvement projects.
- 2 + years of manufacturing experience in a consumer products manufacturing operation preferred
- Self-motivated, results driven and action oriented.
- Ability to make independent and sound decisions.
- Ability to conduct assessments and audits and evaluate to measure progress.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Understanding of Business Finance principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
- Ability to lead a team-based approach to decision-making
- Ability to work in a results oriented, challenging environment
- Strong leadership with the ability to get results through mentoring others
- Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team building skills

Responsibilities
- Work closely with Operations, Quality, and Engineering/Maintenance to deliver improved results in safety, quality, cost, productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Develop solutions to repetitive failures and all situations that adversely affect plant operations.
- Lead the Focused Improvement pillar for the Urbandale site.
- Develop mastery and understanding for the processes they are assigned to and use that mastery to deliver improved TE, quality, yield, and thru-put.
- Understand the physics and chemistry of how the production systems are designed to function, their limitations, and the impact of variation on thru-put, reliability, yield / breakage and quality.
- Collect, analyze, interpret, and conduct opportunity analysis on planned and unplanned downtime, rate, yield, and quality loss data.
- Develop loss analysis & TE improvement plans, lead plan execution, and track results.
- Manage the Centerline System, including its development, maintenance & change management.
- Implement quality improvement processes and quality validation.
- Lead Rapid Changeover activities to reduce changeover time and achieve challenging objectives.
- Engage in analytical troubleshooting & problem solving, process definition & capability studies, and Lean Six Sigma training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Experience preferred, demonstrated by successful completion of a major continuous improvement projects.
- 2 + years of manufacturing experience in a consumer products manufacturing operation preferred.
