Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience in plant maintenance, project work, or similar
- Experience with PLC systems and programming using ladder logic
- Experience drawing electrical schematics (CAD) to demonstrate how processes will work
- Hands-on work experience with some or all of the following: Running conduit, Pulling wire, Panel building, Component/Sensor installation, Pneumatic and hydraulic installation, Mechanical work as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance, direction, and guidance to staff and maintenance.
- Prepare specifications, material lists, cost estimates, capital projects, and proposals.
- Assist plant maintenance and technicians with repair and redesign of plant equipment.
- Troubleshoot issues with control systems and other mechanical systems and coordinate with others to determine problems and implement solutions.
- Develop and install machine programs using automation PLC software.
- Generate aesthetic HMI screens for machinery that provide enough feedback for troubleshooting.
- Ensure that sound technical concepts are applied.
- Provide maintenance services to other departments as required.
- Provide ongoing technical support to the DCs as requested.
- Prepare progress reports on projects.
- Ensure implementation of formal processes and documentation to support process improvement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
