Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree In a relevant field with 8 years of experience OR a Master’s Degree in a relevant field with 6 years of experience OR 12 years of relevant experience
• Operations experience in a chemical and explosives manufacturing environment
• Knowledge, understanding and application of Hazardous Operations Safety Standard
• Knowledge, understanding and participation in Plant Process Control Board for explosive manufacturing environment
• Experience with development and execution of budgets
• Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing planning schedules and staffing
• Experience in cost reduction planning and execution
• Direct management experience of explosive transportation
• Proven decision-making experience in high rate, explosive manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Manages the maintenance of Medium Caliber LAP, Commercial Powder, and Ballistics Ranges
• Develops and manages the Maintenance budget
• Determines staffing levels
• Provides direct supervision. Responsible for the supervision of union-represented employees and all disciplinary actions
• Responsible for capital improvement projects funding requests and management
• Responsible for vehicle, equipment, and building maintenance and management
• Responsible for supporting production levels to meet customer requirements
• Responsible for the safety of all personnel in the Maintenance department
• Be an advocate for, and strictly follow, all NRE safety, quality, environmental, and production rules and procedures
• Identify and grow strong people managers and future leaders
• Actively support an environment of employee engagement and inclusion
• Firm understanding of maintenance metrics and computerized tracking systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing relationships with Customers and Suppliers preferred
