Requirements
- General knowledge of mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
- Ability to work under pressure
- Basic knowledge of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, and Excel
- Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate
- Has a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Has 2+ years of prior relevant experience, in the hospitality industry or similar environment
- Flexible to work 2nd shift which includes weekends and holidays
Responsibilities
- Perform routine to complex maintenance and repair tasks on all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems throughout the racetrack and racino.
- Responsible for completing all assignments from Dispatch or Management and maintaining logbooks.
- Operate power and hand tools to complete job duties.
- Utilize diagnostic tools, including but not limited to amp meters, voltmeters, ohm meters, compound gauges, and pressure gauges, to identify and resolve power and gas issues.
- Read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics to install and service electrical components.
- Understand the layout of the racetrack, racino, and equipment.
- Stay informed on current techniques and technical methods, reporting any unusual conditions to the Shift Supervisor.
- Maintain constant awareness of property cleanliness, safety, and accident prevention, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of prior relevant experience, in the hospitality industry or similar environment
