Successful completion of AMA Accredited School of Radiologic Technology
Completion of mammography training
ARRT – Radiography – American Register of Radiologic Technologists
CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist
RHM-Radiology Mammography
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
ARDMS-American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
Ability to perform examinations of excellent technical quality in an efficient manner
Knowledge of Mammography Instrumentation operation and quality control procedures
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Knowledge of departmental computer systems operations (EPIC programs, including Radiant, PACS)

Lead technologist duties directly involve a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation and/or other forms of energy to provide diagnostic images
Maintain competency in all areas of licensure for self and all supervised staff
Provide leadership for technical and support staff within assigned areas of responsibility
Responsible for providing and maintaining adequate coverage and coordination of activities within assigned areas of responsibility
Provide support and training assistance to all assigned staff
Maintain all equipment and equipment certifications, including ACR for Mammography and Ultrasound
Acquire high quality images and produce and maintain data for quality management
Exercise mature and independent judgment
Demonstrate professionalism and a positive attitude

3-5 years Minimum of 5 years as a staff technologist in area of certifications
At least two years experience as a Sr. technologist in area of certifications
Competent in professional, technical and leadership skills as determined to be adequate by the Manager/Director
