Requirements

  • Bachelors’ Degree from an accredited college or university; will consider a combination of experience and/or education.
  • 5+ years of experience in midstream or related energy business, with a preference given to roles in commercial and business development for blending assets.
  • In-depth knowledge of refined product midstream assets.
  • Ability to lead a team and comfortable engaging customers.
  • Commitment to consistently adhere to policies and procedures and be a positive example for others by demonstrating the Company’s core values of Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Safety, and Excellence in completing work assignments.
  • Self-motivated, have phenomenal work ethic and looking for the right company to support your growth.
  • Required to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for growth of the blending optimization business, through acquisitions, greenfield development, and organic growth of existing assets.
  • Working with other Colonial departments (Operations, FP&A., Commercial Affairs, etc.), continuously evaluate the market in respect to the assets and recommend strategic business opportunities.
  • Creates and implements business plans to capitalize on opportunities and facilitates the integration of these plans into the company’s asset/business portfolio.
  • Lead and direct activities related to asset blending optimization and identifying efficiencies that improve business margins and support Colonial’s business results.
  • Serve on appropriate operations and business teams to achieve improved company results and create a positive corporate culture.
  • Lead, promote and encourage achievement of corporate and team goals by effectively allocating resources (people, money, material).
  • Guide, encourage and promote the development of employees to build an effective and productive work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA from an accredited college or university.
  • Previous responsibility for managing a P&L and experience managing a large team across multiple locations.
  • Prior commercial role dealing with customers from a sales or business development perspective.
  • Self-starter and with a strong entrepreneurial orientation.
