Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business development or sales with a proven track record of success in managing teams.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team toward achieving strategic objectives.
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Strong technical skills, including toolsets such as Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Gong, HighSpot, Demandbase and/or similar platforms preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of business development professionals, providing guidance and support to help them achieve both individual and team targets.
- Set clear performance expectations and KPIs for the team to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on results, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to offer coaching, feedback, and career development opportunities.
- Work with the Sales Enablement team to create training programs and professional development plans to elevate team skills and industry expertise.
- Collaborate closely with leadership, sales, and marketing to align business development efforts with overall company strategies.
- Develop, implement, and optimize business development processes to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across the team.
- Leverage technology and data analytics to streamline workflows, improve lead generation efforts, and track performance against goals.
- Identify and address obstacles that hinder team performance, driving solutions to ensure optimal productivity.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on progress, successes, and challenges related to business development goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with healthcare IT, EHR, and other health-related technologies preferred.
