Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience (with at least 3 of those years focused in Information Systems Security), or a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience (with at least 2 of those years focused in Information Systems Security)
- Candidates must have a current DoD Secret level security clearance (at a minimum), to include a closed investigation date that was completed within the last 5 years
- The selected candidate will be required to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment
- Must have work experience in the following: DoD Collateral Programs, DoD Special Access Programs (DoD SAP), and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs
- Applicable working knowledge of Governance, Risk, and Compliance; NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-137, JSIG
- Must have a current DoD 8570 IAM Level II security certification (e.g., CAP, CASP, CISM, CISSP, GSLC); the required certification must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
Responsibilities
- Lead a small, diverse team of Information Systems Security Officers (ISSOs) across multiple programs and efforts
- Perform daily technical duties as an ISSO/ISSM
- Collaborate within and across technical teams as well as other disciplines to accomplish the required goals of system security & compliance while supporting dynamic program milestones and deliveries.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current DoD Top Secret security clearance
- Master’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, or similar STEM related discipline, to include prior experience as an ISSM with RMF
- Prior experience in a systems administrator or similar technical role
- 2+ years of team leadership or management experience; management experience with technical teams a plus
- Experience with the development and implementation of security policies and procedures compliant with DoD regulations, and setting cybersecurity strategy
- Diverse classified information systems security/information assurance background
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to communicate complex security issues to stakeholders and make informed decisions under pressure
- Prior experience communicating with internal and external customers and program leadership
